First steps in becoming agile

  1. Define the purpose of the organisation and its functions
  2. Publish a common business language which describes these functions and their inputs and outputs
  3. Create an organisational model which links  functions together
  4. Identify those processes critical to organisational agility
  5. Locate existing processes within this model
  6. Evaluate and create processes as required
  7. Form a cross functional process agility team
  8. Empower this team to challenge existing ways of working and suggest improvements
  9. Implement and use process improvement and maintenance metrics
  10. Use Muda & 5S management to simplify and build slack
